2023 Advocate Leadership Summit

Join us for the 2023 Advocate Leadership Summit in Washington, DC, May 6-8, at the Park Hyatt Hotel! The Summit is the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s premier annual breast cancer advocacy event. The Summit offers discussion sessions with top researchers and advocates, as well as skill-building, message training, and strategic planning activities needed to energize us for the important work in the year ahead.

At the 2023 Advocate Leadership Summit, we will continue to build on the strengths of the tireless and talented advocates who will help NBCC achieve our mission to end breast cancer for everyone.

Summit Hours:  

Saturday:  3:00pm – 7:00pm (Pre-conference Project LEAD Grad session from 12:45pm – 2:30pm)
Sunday:     8:00am – 6:15pm
Monday:   9:00am – 6:00pm

Summit Registration 

Registration for the 2023 Advocate Leadership Summit is $350.

The registration fee includes:

  • Three days of outstanding programming;
  • Summit materials;
  • Breakfasts, lunches and refreshments at breaks;
  • Breakfast, lunch and transportation on Lobby Day.

** The registration fee does NOT include hotel lodging. See below for more information.

**NBCC strongly encourages all attendees of in-person programming to be up to date on their COVID vaccinations per the CDC definition. Attendees will be required to test negative for COVID within 24 hours of travel to an NBCC event and confirm their negative test in writing. Additionally, attendees at NBCC’s Summit will be required to test at the end of the day on Sunday during Summit. Attendees with a medical exemption for vaccination must test at the end of each day of the event. NBCC strongly encourages you to wear masks throughout the event, to best protect your colleagues. Wearing masks is one important thing you can do to protect each other, so please be kind enough to do so. If you have any COVID symptoms or a member of your household has tested positive for COVID within 5 days of the event, do not attend.**

Bring a Leader, Get a Discount! 

If you bring a new attendee,* both you and the new attendee will receive $50 off your $350 Summit registration, for a final cost of $300 each.

*New attendees are classified as those advocate leaders who have NOT attended a Leadership Summit since 2013. Anyone who attended the NBCC conference in 2012 or before, qualifies for the discount.

Summit Fundraising

Limited Scholarships Available

A small number of scholarships are available to current NBCC members who are interested in attending the in-person-only Summit. Attendees may apply for one of the following types of assistance: travel, hotel, or registration. Scholarship applications are now closed. 

Hotel/Summit Venue 

Participants must make their own hotel arrangements. We are now passed the cut-off date for our hotel room block. To reserve a room for the Summit at the best price, we recommend using an online hotel reservation tool. Please reach out to Skye Wilson at swilson@stopbreastcancer.org if you need assistance.
