Apply to Join NBCC’s Board of Directors

June 5, 2026

The Board of Directors of NBCC is comprised of organizations that reflect the geographic, constituent, and political diversity that is breast cancer. The Board sets the legislative and public policy agenda of the coalition and develops and approves its positions and policies.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition is an IRS 501(c)(4) organization that lobbies Congress and other decision makers for public policies that affect breast cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment. NBCC works jointly with the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, in advancing the mission to end breast cancer.

With ongoing input from its members, the Board of Directors sets the policy and direction for the organization. The Board of Director seats are held by individuals representing organizations. Each Board Director designates a Board Alternate who represents the same organization. The Alternate shall meet the same qualifications as Directors and will be elected at the same time as Directors. Board terms are three years, and both Directors and Alternates are expected to serve the full term. There is no limit on the number of terms an individual can serve.

Please see below for the requirements for all Board applicants prior to applying:
