This October, Get Involved in NBCC’s Mission to End Breast Cancer

October 26, 2026

You can help save lives.

October is about so much more than awareness—it’s about action. Add your voice to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) and be a part of the movement to end breast cancer for everyone, everywhere, through the power of action and advocacy.

Educate yourself. Take the first step toward becoming a breast cancer advocate. Join us at an upcoming webinar; topics include the financial impacts of breast cancer, how to make clinical trial results more meaningful for patients, and how cancer drug prices affect access.

Demand access to care for those who need it the most. Urge your elected officials to pass the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act, legislation to waive the arbitrary waiting periods eligible people with metastatic breast cancer must endure before they can access the benefits they earned.

Attend an event. NBCC’s premier science training program, Project LEAD, is now accepting applications for summer 2027. And register to attend our annual Summit this April, where advocates network, learn about key breast cancer issues, and take their new advocacy skills to Capitol Hill on Lobby Day.

Advance innovative, lifesaving breast cancer research. More than 3.5 million people have been treated—and seen improved outcomes—thanks to research funded by the federal Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program. Tell your representatives to continue to fund the program in the next fiscal year so researchers can discover the next breakthrough.

Support NBCC’s work to train patient advocates, expand access to care, and protect science. Make a gift or become a member of NBCC. (Memberships are not tax-deductible.)
