Midterm Elections: Bipartisan Effort Will Remain Critical in the Next Congress
In January 2023, a new Congress will be sworn in, the 118th. With votes still being counted in several pivotal races across the country, we do not yet know the full makeup of the next Congress and who will be in leadership. We do know that with razor-thin margins, bipartisan support will remain critical to any forward momentum on NBCC’s public policy priorities. Thanks to your efforts, NBCC made important advocacy gains this year, as outlined below. That puts us in a powerful position to bring about change in the new Congress. Thank you for taking the time to vote, speak out, and ensure lawmakers continue to understand the important role they can play in ending breast cancer.

NBCC Recruits an Impressive 238 Bipartisan Cosponsors for Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act
Thank you to all of you who have taken action by urging your members of Congress to support NBCC’s Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act (S.1312/H.R. 3183). Because of your efforts, NBCC has been instrumental in recruiting an impressive – and rarely seen—238 bipartisan cosponsors for this important legislation! NBCC will continue to urge action to advance the bill in the remaining days of the 117th Congress and is already working on our strategic plans for January. There is still time to take action and with your help, we can get this bill enacted in the remaining months of this Congress! The election demonstrated women’s power to lead change. Send a personalized message to your Members of Congress. Visit the NBCC Action Center and urge your Members to cosponsor this critical legislation with just a few clicks.
