The National Breast Cancer Coalition’s (NBCC’s) Meaningful Role
As a grassroots advocacy coalition dedicated to our mission to end breast cancer, NBCC brings a unique and diverse perspective to our work. Led by advocates, NBCC cuts through the hype to fight the breast cancer status quo, overcomes barriers to true progress in saving lives, and trains survivors and other advocates.
NBCC is the organization that will end breast cancer; we are activists who set a research agenda to ensure that outcome, who tell the truth about breast cancer, upend the status quo when needed and empower survivors to be leaders for this cause.
NBCC’s advocacy has resulted in more than $4 billion federal dollars for breast cancer research.
Breast cancer accounts for nearly a quarter of all cancers in women worldwide.
Since 1995 NBCC has trained over 2,400 Project LEAD graduates in research and advocacy.
