NBCC Advocate Leadership Summit Policies 

NBCC believes in supporting advocates interested in attending the Summit and recognizes that from time to time a paid registrant may request a registration refund if they can no longer attend. We also recognize that there is a cost associated with the work that has gone into preparing an exceptional experience for registrants for the Summit.   

Group Registration Process

For group registrations of more than one person, a group representative should contact Mary Daly at 202.973.0571 or mdaly@stopbreastcancer.org directly and provide a credit card for payment. 

Hotel Discount

$50 discount per hotel room for the 2025 Summit  

To help defray some of the cost of attending the Summit, NBCC is offering to cover $50/night for each hotel room booked through the NBCC block at the Park Hyatt. The discount will result in a reduced hotel rate for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights while attending the Summit (May 2, 3, 4, & 5). The discount will reduce the rate from $299/night to $249/night + tax for Summit attendees. The discount is not reflected when booking through the block, however, will be adjusted on the final bill upon checkout. Attendees may choose to cover the full amount of their hotel stay and donate the difference in price back to NBCC. This discount is only valid for attendees reserving their room at the Park Hyatt as part of the NBCC room block. 

Registration Refund Request

Should a Summit registrant who has fully paid their registration fee request a refund, NBCC will refund the registration fee minus a $50.00 administration fee. The registrant must request a refund in writing before the start of the Summit. Please submit your request to leadershipsummit@stopbreastcancer.org. An NBCC staff member will respond within a week with a message indicating whether the reimbursement is approved. A refund will not be approved once the Summit has begun and may take up to 30 days after the Summit to process. 

If a participant has registered at the full price, they may not readjust their rate later to the buddy rate.  

Summit Champion Fundraising Policies

Summit Champions raise funds to attend the Advocate Leadership Summit including funds to support registration and hotel.  

  • Funds may not be used to support travel. 
  • Fundraisers must meet their goal three weeks prior to the event. 
  • Funds may be raised on behalf of another registrant or group of registrants.  
  • All gifts above and beyond your goal will be applied to support current year Summit programming.   
Scholarship Process

NBCC offers several scholarship opportunities to assist attendees with the cost of participating in the Summit. Scholarship resources may be used to cover the cost of registration, travel, and hotel. Please reach out to Skye Wilson, swilson@stopbreastcancer.org, with any scholarship questions.  

  • Scholarships are for current NBCC members only and cover the cost of Summit registration or up to $400 toward either hotel or travel. Update your membership here! 
  • The deadline to apply for a scholarship using an online application is Monday, March 3, 2025.
  • Scholarship applicants may only apply for one scholarship type. 
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified by Monday, March 17, 2025. 
  • Within 30 days of the end of the Summit, travel scholarship recipients must submit all receipts to Skye Wilson at swilson@stopbreastcancer.org. 
  • Scholarship recipients must register for the Summit by Friday, April 11, 2025.
