Kathy Costigan joined the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) as Chief Development Officer in 2025, bringing over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic fundraising, and mission-driven communications. She has raised over $250 million throughout her career to support cancer research, expand access to health care, and promote education and advocacy.
Before joining NBCC, Kathy served in senior development roles at Project HOPE and ZERO Prostate Cancer, where she led major campaigns, cultivated philanthropic partnerships, and helped build national movements to improve health outcomes. She is recognized for her donor-centric approach, ability to engage diverse stakeholders, and leadership in creating sustainable development strategies.
A cancer survivor, Kathy is personally and professionally committed to NBCC’s mission to end breast cancer. Her dedication is further deepened by her sister Patty’s ongoing battle with the disease. She is proud to be part of an organization that puts patients first and relentlessly pursues the end of breast cancer for everyone.
