Bari Talente joined the National Breast Cancer Coalition as chief policy officer in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of experience in elevating patient voices and experiences to drive policy change. She has advocated in support of expanding access to affordable healthcare, disability rights, medical research funding, and a robust research environment.
Prior to joining NBCC, Talente led advocacy and healthcare access at the National MS Society, where she mobilized hundreds of grassroots advocates, led efforts to increase federal funding of MS research and to make medications more affordable, and directed the organization’s externally-led patient-focused drug development initiative. She holds a J.D. from the University of Buffalo School of Law and a B.A. from Binghamton University.
