What Fuels Your Fight?

All year long, NBCC fights to protect life-saving breast cancer research, access to care, and evidence-based decision-making and health care, which are currently being decimated by harmful policies and funding cuts.

These issues affect the lives of real people—the men and women affected by breast cancer.

Those who have experienced a breast cancer diagnosis.

Those whose lives were saved by innovative research.

Those who received care thanks to expanded access through federal programs.

Those who have cared for a loved one going through treatment.

Those who have lost someone.

Those who lost their lives.

They—the people behind the policies— are why we fight. And we won’t give up until we end this disease.

What fuels your fight? Who powers your breast cancer advocacy? What keeps you going?

When you share your story, you fuel our collective action and inspire others to join the fight. You remind decisionmakers that every policy, every research dollar, and every breakthrough affect real people.

This October, tell us your story—your reason. What drives you. Submit one-to-two sentences and an optional photo describing the experience, issue, or person powering your breast cancer advocacy.

We’ll share your story on NBCC’s website and social media—and bring it to decisionmakers on Capitol Hill—to urge others to take action and join our movement to end breast cancer.

"I’m in this because I don’t want my daughter to be told she has breast cancer. And if she’s told that I want her to have better options than I had." - NBCC Advocate Joy Simha
