Maggie Bush

Maggie Bush has nearly 20 years of political advocacy, nonprofit grassroots engagement and strategic communications experience. She previously directed nationwide voter engagement partnerships and programs for the League of Women Voters of the United States, which resulted in millions of voters mobilized in major election years. With a longtime passion for nonprofit and cause-related work, Maggie has also worked and consulted for a wide range of national advocacy organizations, elected officials, and foundations on issues including environmental justice, women’s rights and effective stakeholder outreach. Maggie holds a master’s degree in Political Management as well as a bachelor’s in Political Science and Anthropology from the George Washington University. Maggie returned to GW as graduate-level faculty in the area of voting rights during the 2020 election cycle. Maggie lives with her husband and daughter in Arlington, VA.
